American Horror Story. Spooky Little Girl.

Hello everybody (if anybody even still keeps up with this show)! Sorry I missed last week, I was busy working 12 hour shifts before and on Thanksgiving and all during break so I just didn’t have time to write last week! My apologies! I watched the episode today before the new one. Basically the only thing that came out of that episode is we discovered that Tate is actually the Rubber Man. Yes, he impregnated Vivien and did all those other horrible things. I mean, I guess it’s no surprise.

For some reason I’ve been finding myself becoming less and less interested in the show. Of course, I will continue to watch to see what happens, but I find it hard to get excited every Wednesday for the show to come on. Does anybody else feel this way? The story line has kind of gone off the wall a little bit and not in a good way. Tate being revealed as the Rubber Man was an unexpected, but good, twist. This week’s episode just didn’t do it for me though. I mean, Hayden is absolutely out of her mind. Seducing Constance’s boy toy and then killing him because he confessed his love for Constance. Get a grip Hayden! Then she teams up with Tate to kill even more people in the house to keep them there forever. That just doesn’t seem fair. I don’t know what her intentions are, but they don’t seem good.

Poor Vivien is getting accused as a crazy person. The ghosts only want to mess with her. I think somehow Hayden is going to take her babies away so she could keep one (most likely Ben’s) and the original homeowner whose baby was taken from her can keep one too. Vivien was taken away to a mental institute of some sort because she has been “seeing things”. Of course, Violet doesn’t try to save her because Tate is messing with her mind too. Violet knows she saw the ghosts in the back of the car, but doesn’t want to admit it. Instead, she watches her mother get taken away while Tate continues to seduce her and kill off people. Don’t know why I still like Tate’s character, but I do.

I honestly don’t even know where the show is going to go from here. I feel like the only thing they really have to go off of is the fact that one of Vivien’s baby was conceived by Ben and the other by Tate a.k.a. Rubber Man. Other than that, they just keep killing a bunch of people…

What did you guys think?  Anyone else still watching?  Share your thoughts in the comments!

There are weeks when I think “this show is such garbage; why am I watching it?” but then there are weeks when I’m like “THIS SHIT IS STAYING ON THE DVR OMG THAT WAS AWESOME.” Admittedly, the latter has only happened once (Halloween Pt 2), and the former hasn’t happened since about the 3rd week, but I do see what you’re saying. However, I think I like the show more now than I did when it started. At first it was campy and silly and I liked it because it was so ridiculous, but now I kind of like it for the mindfuck.

I still love Tate, but he scares me. I cannot figure out if he knows he’s a ghost or not. From the epic episode we got about him (the aforementioned Halloween Pt 2), we learned that he doesn’t seem aware of what he did, and doesn’t even seem to know that he’s dead. But then we have those episodes where he talks to the other dead people, like Hayden and Moira. Does he just think that he can see the ghosts like Violet can? I mean, he dresses as the Rubber Man — to please the women in the house (that was a VERY interesting details, btw) — but… it’s just kind of confusing. I don’t think he knows he’s dead. But yeah, being the Rubber Man Baby Daddy really creeps me out, and I don’t like it.

I think that Hayden taking a baby and the original chick taking a baby is exactly the goal they’re trying to achieve. If Ben can get Vivien out of the institution, which he probably can because he was the one who committed her. I just wish that they would explain why they keep killing people to keep them at the house. THOUGH the housing developer guy… they wanted to get him off the property before he died. The ghosts’ motives are just kind of jumbled for me. I wish they would make some of them a bit clearer.

That said, I’m still enjoying the show. And, like you, I’m just waiting to see where it goes. I don’t know how they’re going to bring this past the first season though. I really don’t…

Yeah, it’s losing me a little bit too, which is a bummer because it has a lot of promise, but I’m not SHOCKED given the Ryan Murphyness of it all.  I’m not all the way gone, though–it’s just getting a little muddied at the moment.  But I love Tate and think he’s a really excellent character, and Halloween Pt 2 might be the best episode of TV I’ve seen so far this season.  Yeah, I said it.  It’s at least in the top five.  (I have such commitment issues.)
