Starting off this week with another shocker, the weigh in will be a head-to-head competition. Only one person will weigh in from each team. And that person will be chosen by the other team. If the two chosen people aren’t Elizabeth and Jessica, I’m going to poopoo in my little panties.
Jesse is delusional and thinks that he is on the chopping block because he had a huge number last week and is due for a small number this week. Of course, that isn’t how it works.
Frado is being a major drama queen. He is pissed about Jillian pushing him. His big fat ego won’t allow him to take commands from Jillian. She says that wouldn’t have happened with Bob and it never did when he worked with Bob. Frado wants to take it easy because if they go to elimination, he isn’t going home, Anna is. He needs to keep his head in the game. My Frado love is slowly fading.
For the pop challenge, the teams head to the Four Season to cook up some food with perpetually unemployed Chef Curtis Stone and some crazy latin chef that looks like Celine Dion. Three contestants from each team have to cook three dishes and will be judged by their teammates not cooking. The catch is that the chefs aren’t allowed to touch the food or utensils used in cutting, mixing, etc and they only have 40 minutes. Anna is annoying as hell asking for the crazy chef every two seconds. With only 5 minutes left, she is only done with the “garnishments.” I’m not sure what that is, but it sounds dire.
Frado has an interesting strategy in that he knows that 2 of the 3 of the cookers didn’t know shit about cooking so he is going to pick whatever sucks. It pays off and they are tied 1-1 after the first round. Second round doesn’t go so well as both teams pick the Blue team’s dish. Ending up with the Blue team in the lead 3-1. All Blue has to do is pick the same thing as the Black team which will then either be a tie or a win. The Black team pulls off the tie and the tie-breaker is for each of the teams to guess how many calories were in their own dessert. Black argues about their choice and Blue just takes care of business.
In the end, Blue pulls off the win and gets a reward of a 10 second head start at the challenge later on.
The challenge is a 1km dragon boat race. Ada should be awesome at this since she is Asian. Quote of the race comes from Jesse: “Ali says ‘Go’ and our paddles hit the water and NOTHING. We’re not going anywhere. The wind is not whipping through our hair like I’m imagining it happening.” Haha, I would love to see a visual depiction of how he is imagining it. The winner of the challenge gets to block the other team’s first choice of who they want to weigh in at the weigh in later. It would killer if the Black team can block the choice of Elizabeth. Both teams veer off course and the Blue team has a terrible turn at the buoy. At the end, the Blue team wins by the tiniest amount (6 seconds).
Jillian talks to Elizabeth about her issues. Mainly that she is in survival mode and is reliant on others to protect her. On the ranch she is relying on The Professor and Frado. Jill tells her to thrive instead of survive. They should put that on a bumper sticker or a coaster.
The wife and I noticed that Mark hasn’t had gel in his hair lately. My wife pointed out that is because Elizabeth has bogarted every bottle of gel on the ranch. That is the only way her helmet hair could possibly stay so slicked to her head. On a related note, either Elizabeth is supporting breast cancer awareness or they don’t have lip waxing on the ranch because that mustache is getting a little crazy.
At the weigh in, Adam elects NOT to use his advantage from a couple weeks ago which has grown to 3lbs. If he uses it, he could get biggest loser of the week and get immunity. As Frado says, “What’s he going to do with that little Biggest Loser thing now? Put it in his pocket and take it home with him?” The Blue team picks Elizabeth as the Black team’s representative. The Black team picks Jessica. The Blue team could block the Jessica pick and it looks like they should have since she misses the mark big time. Lisa probably would have been second choice and she killed it. The rule as always: If you have an advantage, use it. Adam learns this lesson the hard way as he is headed home after a tied vote where Black sends him home.
At home Adam has lost 138lbs at home thus far. Apparently Adam is paying it forward, as he puts it, “to that girl on the lunch bench.” WTF is a lunch bench? Who knows but apparently they are popular in Kansas. Good for him losing all that weight though. These at home things are much better when the strongest players keep getting voted off.
